Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before registering and using the Makani QR platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Service Scope
By accessing, registering, or using the Makani QR platform ("Service", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Makani QR is a multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform designed for restaurants, cafes, and food retailers to create and manage digital QR-code menus, product catalogs, branch locations, and customer ordering workflows. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Account Registration & Security
To access the platform administrative features, you must register an account with a valid business email, unique store URL slug, and accurate contact details. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities conducted under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use or security breach.
3. Free Trial Period & Subscription Plans
Upon initial registration, new accounts are granted a 14-day free trial under the chosen subscription tier (Basic, Pro, or Enterprise). During the trial, you have full access to test the features included in your plan and set up your menu and products. Continued access after trial expiration requires an active paid subscription or uploading a verified payment receipt. We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with advance notice to active subscribers.
4. Payment Verification & Account Approval
Subscriptions are activated following the submission and verification of a valid payment receipt or bank transfer confirmation. While your payment is being reviewed, your account status is set to Pending Approval. Submitting fraudulent, altered, or forged receipts will result in immediate and permanent account termination and domain blocking.
5. Store Content & Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of your menu items, descriptions, logos, images, and pricing uploaded to your store. You grant Makani QR a limited, worldwide license to host, display, and process this content solely to deliver the service. Makani QR owns all rights, code, algorithms, visual designs, and software underlying the platform.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to: (a) use the platform for any unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purpose; (b) upload malicious code, reverse-engineer, or attempt to bypass multi-tenant security boundaries; (c) disrupt the performance or integrity of our servers; or (d) scrape or harvest customer data without proper authorization.
7. Order Processing & Food Store Responsibility
Makani QR provides the digital menu and order management software. The restaurant is solely responsible for food safety, menu pricing accuracy, ingredient disclosures, allergen notices, order fulfillment, and any direct payment transactions handled at the point of sale.
8. Account Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that fail to renew subscriptions, violate these terms, or engage in suspicious or harmful activities. You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting our support team.
9. Service Availability & Limitation of Liability
We strive for 99.9% platform uptime and reliable operations. However, the service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted uptime. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Makani QR is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost revenue or business disruption.
10. Amendments & Contact Information
